Lea's passion for design was ignited during her time in Colorado, and upon returning to her home state of North Carolina, she continued to pursue her dream of being in the industry. As an administrator with Modern Beach House, Lea plays a key roll in managing contact information, coordinating with builders, vendors, sub contractors, clients, and organizing furniture inventory to align with current project budgets. Her friendly demeanor and exceptional organizational skills make her an invaluable member of our team.

Living on the Outer Banks, Lea fully embraces the coastal lifestyle. In her free time she enjoys beach outings with her dogs, Penny and Bee, reading, baking, grabbing coffee with friends, thrifting, and traveling to visit her family who reside in Western North Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama.

Marin is from Charlottesville, Virginia. Her love for the beach led her to the Hampton Roads area to attend Virginia Wesleyan University. She graduated with a business degree and competed on the volleyball team for four years. Growing up in the mountains and moving to the coast inspires her to bring the outdoors in. As a child she would reimagine the rooms in her home and she has been practicing design ever since.

Marin has been with us for over two years and in that time has grown within the business. She works with clients on furniture layouts, design boards, elevations, sourcing products, spreadsheets, day to day project management and operations. Her favorite parts of the job are taking risks with different elements and hunting down treasures at antique shops and trade shows. Marin believes a home should feel unique; full of stories and soul. She appreciates simplicity and aesthetics that feel welcoming and inviting; using natural elements and neutral color schemes. She values meaningful pieces from family, and loves to incorporate them into interior design for a collected-over-time feel.

Marin and her husband Sam completed a year-long home renovation together in Smithfield in 2021 and just welcomed their daughter, Drew to their family in August of 2024. Marin loves to spend time with her Golden Retriever (Barley) and Tabby cat (Fin). She enjoys hiking, day trips to the beach, coffee dates, farmers market trips, cooking and hosting dinner parties.

Tevin is our in-house 3D rendering specialist. His creativity and impeccable attention to detail makes for the most beautiful and realistic renderings. Specializing in residential and commercial architecture, Tevin possesses a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of building codes and regulations. With expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software, he creates precise and accurate technical drawings that serve as the foundation for successful remodeling projects.

Throughout his career, Tevin has worked on a variety of projects, from small and large residential homes to commercial buildings. His comprehensive knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and design principles allows him to contribute to every phase of a project, from initial conceptual drawings to final construction documentation. Dedicated to continuous learning, Tevin stays up to date with the latest trends in architectural technology and design. His passion for architecture and commitment to excellence make him an invaluable asset to any design team.

Billy is one of our 3D rendering and CAD drawing specialist. His beautiful, realistic drawings help our clients visualize their homes virtually before the final install. Billy attended ECU where he gained a degree in Interior Design and a minor in Community and Regional Planning. He has a passion for the historic homes and cottages of the Outer Banks and his personal goal is to help preserve and honor them. Billy is also passionate about the development of the Outer Banks, ensuring sustainability for the future and for the land, ecosystem and inhabitants of our islands.

In addition to being part of our team, Billy runs a small business offering short term vacations in historic cottages in the Outer Banks. His business is called OG Cottages, and features beautiful rental home options.
